Souhegan's Coach Dod Wins 500th

On Thursday (4/30/15), Souhegan defeated John Stark and Bill Dod became the third member of the New Hampshire Baseball Coaches 500 wins club. At the conclusion of the Thursday’s game brought all the players, parents, coaches and coach dod’s family to thank them, as they represent all the players, parents and coaches who have been part of all of Bill Dod’s 500 wins.

Dedication of the memorial for Ralph Silva

Two years ago I (Paul Silva) won my whopping 37th game, which together with his 363 gave us 400 together. He was not feeling well and unable to attend the game. It was a night game on the road but when we got back, albeit late, ALL of the players drove up to the house to present him with the game ball. That was the happiest I saw him through his ordeal. A memorial for Ralph Silva (my father) will remain behind the 3rd base dugout here in Claremont.

"Whatever happened to Baseball"?

Jeff Potters "Whatever happened to Baseball" book is a recommended read. This is is the story of youth baseball, and how it has changed in the last 40 years.

Click to Jeff Potter's Website!

Many of these changes have been for the worse. Baseball “back in the day” was fun & innocent and filled with great coaches that taught the right life lessons out on the ball fields. For more information about the book visit potterbaseball.com.
